Linda's Writing BioAlthough Linda was practically drawing from birth, she began writing about her nightly dreams and short stories from a young age. When she was in grade 3 she wrote short stories, illustrated them and created little books to give to her mother. After almost 15 years in the marketing industry as a graphic designer she's ready to write and paint full time. "In my career I've done a lot of business writing for my clients, but my true love is fiction writing. I write poems too, but mostly for the purpose of releasing emotions trapped inside of me. The ones I don't know how to deal with," Linda says. Linda was a publisher for a short time. She wrote, designed and published a humour magazine called "Crackers" for over two years. It was distributed free to residents in the Barrie Area and had a strong following. "For such a short lived paper, it remains popular in the minds of it's readers. I"m still remembered as the Crackers Lady," Linda laughs. Although she was unable to continue it, she remains proud of her accomplishment and hopeful that she may find a way to bring it back in the future. Linda now aims at completing her first novel and to have her short stories published. If you see anything here you want to publish on your site or in print please ensure ask permission for reprint rights. She'd appreciate a sample of any printed publications to keep in her portfolio.
