Merlin is one of the most widely recognized figures from the myths and legends of Celtic lore. It is believed by many that he was a real man who prophesied the great kings to come. His figure has been found in many time periods in several magical stories. He is always a great and powerful man, for his wisdom and fantastic magical powers and his incredible life span. It was said that he foresaw the Sword on the Stone which Arthur pulled out.
Illustrated in pen and ink in 1995, this Merlin, or Wizard is a favourite.
