Distressed Faerie

This faerie isn't being kidnapped by a cruel fire breathing dragon. Not at all. She was injured while frolicking in the forest. He's come along to take her to safety, so she can use her unusually fast healing powers!

You might also think that she either looks too big, or the dragon looks too small. In the Faerie Realm I've been invited to visit I have seen Faeries varying in height from 3 to 4 feet. That means they are still quite small, but not as small as those faeries others have reported to have seen! This friendly dragon was, of course, young, and not that big yet.

This is the sixth painting in my new Faerie series. It's painted in oils on an 18" x 24" canvas.

Mesmerized Faerie

I caught a glimpse of this faerie while on vacation in Costa Rica in 2007. She appeared mesmerized by her friend the snake. They were sharing space on a tremendous old Ficus tree in a cloud forest. I was as mesmerized with her as she was of the snake.

Disturbed Faerie

This is one disturbed lake faerie. She's pulling out a discarded water bottle from her beautiful Canadian lake. It's early in the morning, so it's not a pleasant start to her day.

Content Faerie

This is a little river faerie, contented to live and play among the critters and foliage by and in the water, as it trickles along. Isn't she just the cutest?
